NSRA

The National Small-bore Rifle Association based at Bisley Camp in Surrey is the governing body in Great Britain for target shooting with rifles and pistols of a calibre of .23 inches or less, match cross-bows, air rifles and air pistols.
It controls shooting participation from club level to World Championships and Olympic Games. It provides members with competitions both for disabled and able bodied, major meetings, local shoots and leagues, booklets, insurance, coaching and proficiency schemes.
The best way forward is to join a club. There are many hundreds located in the length and breadth of Great Britain and tens of thousands belong to these clubs for the fun and companionship of shooting.
Once involved in the sport you can participate in local competitions or attend county, regional or national events. Talented shooters are invited to join National Squads from which teams are selected to represent Great Britain up to Olympic and World Championship level.
The easiest way to get into the sport is via airgun shooting. With minor exceptions no certificate is needed to own an airgun, although there are certain laws restricting use and possession depending upon your age. The low cost of pellets, air rifles and air pistols make it a good way to start shooting.
